Fly into Kansas City International Airport (MCI)
Information on the "Share a Ride" Program
There is a "Share a Ride" offered for approximately $15-$30, per person, one way. We are using 5 Guys Transportation. Their driver will greet you at your baggage claim, with your last name printed on their sign. The service is provided between the KC Airport and Lake Doniphan Retreat Center.
You pay the driver directly, either with cash or credit card (including gratuity). To receive the lowest fare of $15 fee for the shuttle ride, your van will need a total of 4 passengers, which we will arrange.
There could be up to a 45 minute wait, while the driver is picking up other JK retreatants.
To Participate in the "Share a Ride" Service
Safia Gray will be our JK Transportation Coordinator. Sign up for this "Share a Ride" service once you have firm travel plans. Send or forward your Full Airline Itinerary and your cell phone number to Safia at jksafia@yahoo.com.
Safia will make your reservations with the shuttle service for the group "Share a Ride" discount. Your payment of cash or credit card will be paid to the driver. She will make your reservations for a round-trip, unless you give other instructions. If you cancel, please notify her of your cancellation.
If you are traveling with another or in a group, include in your email to Safia the first & last names of those that you are traveling with, so that you can share the same shuttle.
Safia will send an email confirmation upon receipt of your airline itinerary.
Deadline for "Share a Ride" Service
Send your Full Airline Itinerary no later then October 28, 2014 to be able to participate in the "Share a Ride." After October 28, you will need to make your own arrangements.
Coming or Going on a Different Day?
5 Guy Transportation Shuttle Service:
To make your own private shuttle reservation, call 816-891-9999. One way will be $60, plus gratuity. 5 Guy Transportation Shuttle will accommodate anyone that needs to arrive late or depart early.
Car Rental Information:
The airport has major car rental companies and it is a fairly simple to catch the buses which run every 15 minutes to and from the Car Rental Hub and the airport terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the best time to arrive at Kansas City airport on Wednesday?
The Check In time is at 4:00 and Dinner is at 6:00. The evening program will begin at 7:30. We suggest you arrive at the airport between 2:00 and 4:00 when possible.
2. What is the best time to book my departure flight on Sunday?
The last session of the retreat ends at 1:00 followed by lunch. The trip to the airport is 50 minutes. Please try and book your departure for after the retreat closes. The shuttle service will be available Sunday.
3. How will I know how much the shuttle will actually cost me?
Every effort will be made to get four people to a van so that the fee will be $15 each way. Safia will confirm the amount before you leave for the retreat.
